Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal

Is a Spanish professional tennis player. He is currently ranked world No. 2 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

He has been ranked world No. 1 for 209 weeks, and has finished as the year-end No. 1 five times.

For over a decade, Nadal has dominated men's tennis along with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic as the Big Three, collectively considered by some to be the three most successful male tennis players of all time.

Rafael Nadal is unquestionably the greatest clay court player of all time. In fact, his dominance on clay may be the most dominant thing in any sport-ever. Of his 92 titles, 64 are on clay.

The greatest clay-court tennis player of his generation has won the French Open 13 times. He has collected $125 million in prize money overall since he turned pro in 2001.

Nadal joined the basketball star Pau Gasol to support the Red Cross efforts to raise at least $10 million in support of those affected by Covid-19 in Spain.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Nadal is worth an estimated $220 million (£178.8m).

The king of clay is one of the most sought-after sportsmen in the world for sponsors, with endorsers including long-term backers Kia and sportswear giants Nike.

Nadal has promoted a digital autograph company and telecommunications company Mejor Conectados in the build-up to Wimbledon 2022.

Rafael Nadal married his long-time girlfriend, Maria Francisca "Xisca" Perello, on October 19, 2019. The two have been in a relationship since 2005 and Xisca is an insurance worker and is also the current director of the Rafael Nadal foundation.

Rafael Nadal Academy

Considered one of the leading sports centers in the world for tennis, the Rafa Nadal Academy was launched in the year 2016 in Manacor, Spain. The academy was built with an intention to provide high-class facilities to aspiring tennis enthusiasts who want to make it big on the big stage.

The tennis icon from Spain dismantled the likes of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in several Grand Slam finals over the past couple of decades. By winning the 2020 French Open title, Nadal equaled Roger Federer's record of the most major titles at 20.

A year later, in 2021, Novak Djokovic also joined Federer and Nadal when he won his 20th major title at Wimbledon by defeating Matteo Berrettini in the final.

The 2022 ATP season will give a tough time to Nadal in order to add more slam titles to his name. However, he is still the prime contender to clinch the French Open.
